Johannesburg, 25 August 08 – Seventeen outstanding women from the Gauteng province have been named as finalists for the 2008 Passing the Torch Awards, an initiative that seeks to recognize female entrepreneurs from six sectors of the provincial
economy who have excelled in business and have made significant contributions to their
communities.more

Isabelle started her business seven years ago. Her Business is accredited and she' sits on the board of the Film Resource Unit,she's also the chairperson of Mapp Seta Film and Electronic Chamber.

Isabelle sponsors artists from disadvantaged communities with emphasis on woman, her company provides, mentorship training with a stipend.

They have a 100% employment rate with their interns. Amazing Workshop was started with R20 000 from Isabelle's savings account. The company has grown from R2m in 2005 to R8m in 2006

Ms Manase started her business in 1996, the business the business is accredited with the South African Institute of Chartered Accountants.

She employs 30 people 15 Females. She shows great business savy. Her business has shown a substantial amount of growth.

From employing five people to thirty staff members. She is a board member of organizations like South African Reserve Bank with an asset base of over R300 billion She is co founder of the an agency called African Women Chartered Accountants, they mentor and develop young woman with an ambition to join this field
